Traditionally used for medical and mechanical illustrations, its great to experiment with this form of media. You can trace a drawing in coloured ink, then paint or airbrush either side for special effects. A gelatine coating accepts all wet medias, including metallics. Turn your painting around for a different effect. Paintings come out very dimensional. Your finished product can be framed over foil or metallic board for a shimmering effect. Accepts airbrush, pen and other mediums. You can do a painting literally on both sides of the acetate. It can also be used for technical illustrations and cells.
