Jacquard Procion MX Dyes are professional-grade cold water fiber reactive dyes that do not require heat, making them perfect for a wide variety of dyeing techniques. Ideal for tie-dye, shibori, ice dyeing, batik, direct painting, screen printing, and low-water immersion dyeing, these dyes are the go-to choice for both hobbyists and serious textile artists.
As a fiber reactive dye, Procion MX forms a strong covalent bond with cellulose fibers, providing vibrant, permanent, and washfast colour. Simply mix the concentrated dye powder with warm tap water to achieve brilliant results on cotton, linen, canvas, hemp, jute, ramie, sisal, paper, rayon, and other plant-based fabrics. Protein fibers may also be dyed if acidified.
Usage:

Each 19g (2/3 oz) bottle will typically dye over 0.45kg (1 lb) of dry fabric. Brighter colours may require more dye; pastels require less.

Works best with a soda ash fixative, added directly to the dye bath or applied as a pre-treatment.
